Place-Based Block Printing Workshop

Patterns on textiles have carried the stories of places, landscapes, and communities for millennia. In this two-part workshop, participants will explore the history of Truchet tiles, design and carve their own linoleum printing block, and create a unique naturally dyed bandanna that references a place that is meaningful to them.

Over two Saturday afternoons, you will learn the fundamentals of relief printmaking while developing a personal visual language inspired by memory, geography, and site. The workshop will culminate in printing your design onto a naturally dyed bandanna to take home. Workshop is taught by Studios Colibrí founders, Car Megan Lewis and Alejandro Figueredo Diaz-Perera.

All materials are provided, including linoleum blocks, carving tools, inks, natural dyes, and a cotton bandanna that will serve as the final canvas for your place-based design.

Dates: Saturdays, July 18 & 25, 2026
Time: 1:00–4:00 PM

$155.
